Why Sens Is The Worst Striker In Rainbow Six Siege Since Blackbeard

rainbow six sig Year 7 Season 2 He’s out about a week ago, and we finally had a chance to play Sens, the new striker who was supposed to be a huge threat to the defenders, but they’re nowhere near as threatening.

Since the first screenshots of Sens and its ability to obscure a 3D wall were leaked, many players have begun comparing the new launcher to Valorant’s Viper, which has a similar ability to avoid enemies from checking the other side of the wall.

Sens can also be imagined as an attacking version of Azami, whose ability allows her to perform a variety of tricks, including blinding. However, Sens is too weak to be a good opponent for Azami for the attackers side.

Simply put, Sens already feels like a very fickle factor. From their guns to their devices, everything seems patchy and unhelpful enough for the new operator.

ROU projector system does not have any great advantage over smoke bomb

Let’s start with the main Sens tool: the ROU Projector system. The idea behind the gadget is interesting, but when it comes to implementation, many issues arise. First of all, the Sens’ active time – the time the stereo wall runs before it disappears – is less than the active time of a smoke grenade.

Now, let’s check it out using a common strategy. You may have seen it many times, when the attackers threw smoke grenades at the bomb site, waited outside for the C4 defenders to explode and turned foul, and then rushed inside to plant the defuser. And all this happens when the smoke bomb is actively active almost until the end of the cultivation process.

Now, if you want to implement the same strategy with Sens, you will simply miss the waiting time for C4, which means you have to either rush inside immediately and face the threat of C4 or wait for C4 and then spend the last seconds of planting in plain sight. Either way, the Sens’ gadget misses out against regular smoke grenades.

Sens needs extremely accurate aiming in order to set the stereo wall in such a way that it completely blocks enemies’ line of sight, and it gets even worse when sometimes you don’t have access to the right angle to throw in the right direction.

Moreover, throwing the Sens really needs a fairly accurate aim in order to set the holographic wall in such a way that it completely obscures the line of sight of enemies, while a smoke grenade fills the space without the need for precise aiming. It gets even worse when you sometimes don’t have the right angle to throw the holographic wall device in the right direction.

Last but not least, the Sens can be countered with Mute’s jammers as well as Wamai’s Magnets and Jagers ADS, while smoke grenades can easily outrun the jammers. Even a C4 or Impact Grenade can partially remove the Sens’ wall, making it more vulnerable again.

Now, I don’t want to underestimate the device’s ability to block a longer line of sight compared to smoke bombs, but the truth is that you don’t usually need to cover a long line of sight unless you have a very unique strategy.

POF-9 is not good enough for a single speed trigger

The next problem with Sens in Rainbow Six Siege Year 7 Season 2 is her new assault rifle. The POF-9 has a large magazine, which is great, but it has hard-to-control recoil. With both vertical and horizontal recoil, it is very frustrating to play as a single speed trigger with such a weapon.

To make it more clear, we’ve compared the Sens’s primary augmented reality to that of some attackers who have smoke grenades as their secondary tool:

Sense (POF-9) usa (PDW9) Thermite (556XI) ying (T-95 LSW) Jackal (C7E) Twitch (F2)
ruin 35 34 47 46 42 37
Rate of fire 740 800 690 650 800 980
damage per second (DPS) 432 453 540 498 560 604

Now, let’s take a look at the recoil pattern of each of the above guns:

As you can see, POF-9 offers the worst recoil as well as the lowest DPS when compared to some of the top smoke carriers in Rainbow Six Siege. And to add to this chaos, Sens is a one-speed trigger, while all the other strikers mentioned above are two-speed.

Combining all of these reasons together, it is likely that Sens is currently as useless as Blackbeard in rainbow six sig. Both operators have great capabilities, but their hardware is too weak to use them anymore.

Although it’s still based on general community feedback, it’s probably too early to expect an increase in Sens power in Rainbow Six Siege any time soon. But that really lowers expectations for the rest of Year 7, which was quite high with the Azami changes and Season 1.
