thanks for the earth head Comic, The CW’s Arrowverse has appeared on the pages of DC Comics with stories in each issue that are canonical for the network world of the connected series. This week, the latest issue was released, Earth Chief: Twilight Hero #6 Taking things to the future and sons Barry Allen and Candice West Allen, but while there are plenty of surprises and discoveries about where the Arrowverse might be headed, one of the stories in this issue seems to lead directly to Season 9 of Sparkleto tease what could be a major storyline for the CW series.

Once things wind up in 2049 with Impulse and XS defeating Magog and the shocking discovery that Oliver Queen/The Specter is back and that even greater threats are on the horizon, the story of “Phantom Punch” takes things back to Star City 2022 where Tinya Wazzo – now Phantom Girl – You train with Cisco at ARGUS. After fighting the Weather Witch, Girder, and Dr. Polaris, Cisco maintains that while they have been able to neutralize these threats, the villain Bloodwork has survived – a situation hinted at in the rest of the future problem where the villain is found attacking downtown. The story ends with something ominous “to continue into Season 9 of The Flash.”
Played, by Sendhil Ramamurthy, Ramsey Rosso/Bloodwork is last seen in Season 6 after Barry and Team Flash manage to defeat him, locking him up in MAC before transferring him to ARGUS. He is also later visited by Eva McCulloch and replicas of Camilla Huang, David Singh, and Iris West Allen because his blood was essential to her plan to escape from the Mirrorverse.
It’s not clear exactly how Bloodwork will enter Season 9 at this point, although the storyboard notes that whatever the threat it poses, it’s not easy to solve – the villain doesn’t seem to be back in its rightful time after issues in the future. Fans will have to wait a bit to find out. Season 9 of Sparkle It won’t arrive until 2023.
