Mann explained that Hampson died in the early hours of June 18. Their initial plan was to marry in August 2020, but the couple had to postpone the wedding twice due to COVID-19.
“I can’t believe I’m writing these words, but my beloved Danny – my best friend, my everything and more, the love of my life – passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning, June 18,” Mann wrote on Instagram.
“On what was supposed to be the happiest day of our lives ended with an irreversible heartbreak. I feel like I cried in the ocean.
“We couldn’t reach [altar]Or shall we say our vows, or do our first dance, but I know you know you were my entire world and the best thing that ever happened to me, Danielle.
“I will wear this ring that I was always meant to wear as a sign of my unconditional love for you.”
Mann kept his promise that he would raise their son Boy the way the couple wanted before Hampson lost her life.
“I honestly don’t know where to go from here, but I know I need to use whatever strength I can muster for our little boy,” he added.
“I won’t be a sign of the parent you already became, but I promise I will do everything I can to raise Boy the way we have always wanted to. I promise he will know how wonderful his mummy was. I promise to make you very proud.”
