The then-eight-year-old from Queensland wrote to the star after Hanks and his wife were quarantined at an Australian beach resort due to a coronavirus test.
Australia’s Channel 7 news program reported that the letter was full of concern for the health of Hank and his wife, and also noted that the bully had made young Korora “sad and angry”.
Hanks responded with a letter written on a Corona typewriter saying, “You know, you’re the only person I’ve ever known called Corona — like a ring around the sun, a crown.
“I thought this typewriter would work for you. Ask an adult how it works. Use it to text me back.
Hanks finished the note in his handwriting: “Note: You’ve got a boyfriend in me!”
The double Academy Award winner gifted another typewriter, and a personal note to upcoming artist Denis Esposito.
