The second of two Money in the Bank qualifying matches took place during the second hour of WWE SmackDown, this is a women’s ladder match. The match will face Schutze Tamina in second to last place in the bank ladder match, and this was a change from the previously announced match, where he was scheduled to face Schutze Alia as of last week. Schutzi and Tamina traded near falls several times, Schutzi almost found herself pinned after her foot slipped off the lower rope while trying to cover, but Schutzi managed to finish the job and pin the raw star to secure her spot in Money in the Bank.
At the start of the match, Schutzi jumped on Tamina’s back and went to fend off the lock, but Tamina wasn’t even stepping, grabbing her hair and throwing it onto the carpet. Tamina hits Schutzi and then throws her across the ring, then hits a hard blow with a cover but Schutzi kicks her out. Tamina supported Schutzi with the upper rope but Schutzi resisted, locking her legs around Tamina’s neck and using the top rope as a lever.
Taking advantage of the capital, Schutze charged Tamina and then climbed to the top but she didn’t make contact with her head meet Tamina’s shoe, but Schutzi smashed the pin’s attempt by placing her foot on the lower rope. Schutzi dodged another charge and Tamina ran into the post, then a knockout hit and that was enough to pin and win.
Schutzi now joins Lacey Evans, Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez and Asuka for the match, with another person joining the lineup ahead of Saturday’s event. You can find the assortment of confirmed funds in the bank below.
