Spoilers in front of the final episode of the second season of Walker“Something is missing.”
The second season of The CW’s Walker Coming to an end, the explosive final was concluded with a big boulder. After all was said and done between Walkers and Davidson, it seemed all right with the world. But Jared Padalecki’s Cordell (again) finds himself in danger during the episode’s final moments. Now, EP and presenter Anna Frick are teasing the character’s fate in the upcoming third season.
At the end of the episode, Something’s Missing, Cordell, William, and Trey are shown as racing, with the main character taking off first. After Liam and Trey meet Stella, who wonders where her father is, they begin to suspect something is wrong. Then he cut the width to a white truck that was driving away, and carried Cordell unconscious, who was tied up in the back. Anna Frick discussed a cliffhanger surprise with her TVLine And while she didn’t exactly tease what Season 3 had in store, she seemed to hint that Cordell’s attitude might be due to his actions:
Cordell has actually gone through a lot over the past two seasons, from experiencing the death of his wife to the loss of his partner (due to Lindsey Morgan’s departure during season two) and his family farm among other things. The writers obviously don’t hold back and really try to put it through the stick. It’s bittersweet, given me and many others love the character, but it makes for good storytelling. However, right away, I’m curious as to who took the family man and why.
Also, with Cordell gone, one has to think about how the Walkers would react. After all, such a development will have a huge impact on them. The Texas Ranger previously disappeared in Season 1, and Anna Frick brought it up while discussing this new development. Based on her comments, it looks like the brooding reactions will be different this time:
One thing that makes this show It’s great that the characters are so close. The Walkers and their friends have created one big family at this point. I’m sure Cordell’s fans will be concerned but, as the producer said, times change and so do people. I’d still expect at least some characters to do everything they can to get the guy back, though.
It’s currently unclear how long this kidnapping story will last once Season 3 returns, but it will likely last at least a few episodes. This is the kind of drama one would expect from one of the CW’s best shows. Of course, Jared Padalecki’s “Cordell Walker” will eventually bring it back, but what it takes to save him is enough to worry any viewer. Here’s Anna Frick and her colleagues’ reflection. Don’t give us a serious tragic decision for this arc.
Walker Season 3 will premiere this fall on The CW and will be accompanied by a new prequel series Walker: Independence. While you wait for the shows, check out the CinemaBlend TV schedule for 2022 for other things to watch in the meantime!
