Member of The Seven Just Quit

Spoilers for this week’s episode of The Boys! Membership in Vought’s The Seven is often in flux, and it hasn’t even been a nominal for longer than a few episodes at a time. So far, the team’s current composition is only six, Homelander, Black Noir, Queen Maeve, A-Train, The Deep, and Starlight, and after this week’s episode, the number has dropped to just five. That’s right, at the end of Herogasm, Erin Moriarty’s Annie Jane not only twirls at her notice and summons him, but puts Homelander on a blast before the world.

Encouraged by a previous conversation she had with Victoria Newman, particularly about using her social media presence to influence people’s opinions, Annie makes the decision to blow the cover of Soldier Boy’s explosive behavior and how Vought is covering it up, with a middle finger added to Homelander to boot. Stand in the wreckage of Herogasm and the dead bodies that were injured in the aftermath. With the help of MM, Annie is preparing to go live on social media, saying “Homelander helped me make me America’s sweetheart, he will regret it.” She revealed what happened to the world in that moment and then concluded with her resignation, leaving The Seven live on Instagram.

Now obviously the big question is, where do you go from here? Annie’s relationship with Hughie is also strained thanks to his constant use of the temporary compound V and the modification of the main situation he feels with him; But her hatred of Vought and Homelander undoubtedly means that her quest is far from over. As for Anthony Starr’s super villain, he’s licking his wounds, literally. He had a giant bruise on his face after fighting with the butcher, Heiji, and Soldier Boy. The ideas don’t look great for the big guy in the sky, and now he’s losing members of the biggest sop team.

Six episodes of Season 3 for Boys are now available, with the final two episodes arriving over the next two weeks. As of this writing, the show’s new season has managed to retain its 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, complete with the “Certified Fresh” franchise, and tie it to season two as the highest-rated installment of episodes for the show. Even with the critical acclaim that followed the show, many viewers were bombing the show not only for its content but because the series continues to release episodes weekly.
