As for the The MandalorianThe Star Wars celebration took place last month and featured a panel dedicated to the show. The event was marked by a surprise appearance from Pedro Pascal that teased what would happen in the upcoming third season.

“The hardest part is all the creative ways that journalists find to try to trick you, but I got really good,” the actor said. “The easiest part is that I don’t want anything spoiling anyone. I really, really don’t. I have a big mouth and don’t really keep any secrets. I want everything to be a surprise, and there are surprises coming in season three.”

“It was a dream come true,” Executive Producer Jon Favreau added of the show’s journey. “I really wanted to reduce it to a few characters. A character story that takes place in this world… and also an opportunity to bring in new people who might not be familiar with the traditions. This became an entry ramp. As we did introduce characters that were there before, thanks Disney+ streaming service, they can go and watch it all.”

Jon Favreau also noted that Star Wars has always been a sequential story. “They pick up and leave, and I think writing these segmented stories is a lot of fun,” he explained. “There’s an adventurous spirit in how it’s written…There’s a tremendous amount of freedom for the storytellers. It’s the most fun I’ve ever had and it’s a job I will continue to do for a while.”

Star Wars: The MandalorianThe third season is coming in February 2023.
