The Blumhouse Productions logo that audiences have seen in front of studio films for years celebrates the disturbing nature of its release films, embracing all manner of beloved horror icons. their latest movies, black phone, which was released in cinemas last week and featured the debut of an all-new opening logo, which instead uses actual elements from the movies they released. While some of these references are more straightforward, others act more like hard-to-identify Easter eggs. With the original logo created earlier in the studio’s history, it didn’t have the same reputation it has now. From HalloweenMichael Myers for numbers from Cleansing The franchise, the introduction serves as a reminder of the legacy the studio has developed over the years.
“The original Blumhouse logo holds a special place for horror fans like myself, so we wanted to honor that legacy while creating something new. This new logo pays homage to the original and includes so much fun in Easter eggs from Blumhouse movies and TV series from the past decade that we think fans will enjoy discovering” , revealed Karen Bargan, Head of Marketing at Blumhouse. “It has been an enjoyable collaboration with my friend Neil Keelerhouse, and the wonderful team at Elastic, who have brought a fan base and their creativity to the business.”
Barragan developed the logo design with Elastic and their creative directors Neil Kellerhouse and Duncan Elms.
Elms shared: βIt has been an honor to work for such a famous brand and to be able to reference and honor all the great films and shows from their catalog.β Kellerhouse added, “I am so grateful to be working with all the extraordinary talent at Blumhouse and Elastic.
