Fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise have been demanding the return of Johnny Depp for years. The star’s removal from the series has often been a point of discussion, with Depp’s fans claiming that Amber Heard’s claims of him being a “wife-beater” are untrue.
Well, Depp’s fans may have finally got their wish as a new report claims the star has been offered a brand new deal from Disney that called the actor some ‘gifts’.
A source said Disney is “very interested in repairing its relationship with Johnny Depp”. They continued, “They contacted the actor prior to his defamation trial against Amber Heard and asked if he was interested in returning for another pirate movie or two.”
The source added that Depp had sent a peace offer gift from the House of the Mouse. And it came complete with a letter that could have been a formal offer or an apology or something in between.
“I know the company sent him a gift basket with a very sincere message,” the source said. “But I’m not sure how to receive it.”

This information comes on the heels of more news that Disney is currently writing a new Pirates movie that focuses solely on Jack Sparrow. And that’s not all.
The source added that another project is in the pipeline for Disney Plus. They said, “The deal is said to see Johnny Depp returning as Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean 6 and a Disney Plus spin-off about the early life of Captain The Black Pearl.”
They added, “What I can say is that the studio has already written a draft of a movie about Jack Sparrow so they are very hopeful that Johnny will forgive them and return as his titular character.”
The source said Disney is working on a “$301 million deal” to convince Depp to come back soon. They are also said to be adding a “significant donation” to a charity of Depp’s choice as a goodwill gesture.

The supposed $301 million “offer” exceeds that number, which means – if true – that it would be Disney’s way of extending the olive branch, so to speak.
No doubt, fans of the Hollywood actor will be elated if the reports are true. They spent years campaigning for Disney to return Depp to the role of Captain Jack.
They even started an online petition calling for the star to be reinstated. The petition, “We want Johnny Depp back as Captain Jack Sparrow,” is exceptionally popular, and has racked up nearly one million signatures.
Currently, she has over 875,000 fan signatures who are hoping to see the star wield his sword again. Despite this news, the information comes after confirmation that a new Pirates of the Caribbean movie is on its way – with a new hero.
Earlier this year, it was confirmed that Margot Robbie will head up the new Pirates film series.
She herself said it would be full of “girl power” and that Birds of Prey writer Christina Hudson had written.
Head hacker Jerry Bruckheimer also spoke about his ring to reveal, “Yes. We’re talking to Margot Robbie. We’re developing two hacker scripts – one with her and one without him.”
The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise is now available to stream on Disney Plus.
