Iron Man’s dream wedding in New Marvel preview

Patsy Walker/Hellcat and Tony Stark/Iron Man have been a staple of the Marvel Comics canon for decades, taking on narrative adventures that have entered some of the wilderness. It all culminates in a final turning point for their personal and superhero relationship, as Tony proposes marriage to Patsy in the pages of Iron Man #20. While we will have to wait a while to see the long-term ramifications of this decision, this week Iron Man / Hellcat Annual #1 It will display one hypothetical outcome of their relationship. Marvel has released a preview of Iron Man / Hellcat Annual Number 1, which shows what Tony and Patsy’s virtual wedding could look like – only to reveal that it was actually a dream Patsy dreamed of while on the plane.

“Well, we know in Iron Man #20 Tony will ask Patsy to marry him,” writer Christopher Cantwell explained in a recent interview Marvel.com. “But again, there’s context to the story about why he did it while he was doing it. And there’s a lot of things they can both address. But they’re in each other’s lives forever, I’d say…it just depends on the future.”

“If I was going to take Tony on this cosmic epic, I wanted to get someone on the ground as well as possible,” Cantwell said elsewhere in the interview. “Patsy has been very cohesive and clear most of the time. She’s also less familiar with Tony’s rambunctious thoughts than she says, Rudy, so she has new eyes on Tony and forms her own opinions on why he is what he is. But a cut against that coherence is Patsy’s own history with Instability, mentality etc. So her consistency is tough, and when she’s in danger I think we, and Tony, really feel the weight of that.”

“I wanted them to get together fairly early in the story because I wanted to see them go through a real relationship while going through a bigger crisis,” Cantwell added. “So that we can explore all the ups and downs between them in the course of this fight to save the universe. Even if they win, there will be a question as to whether their relationship will survive. It is, but it also evolves into something deeper and more complex in the end. I wanted to I give them a really complicated relationship with each other by wrapping up the story.”
