It’s official: Disney CEO Bob Chapek isn’t leaving Mouse House anytime soon

When Bob Iger stepped down Bob Chapek took his place as CEO of The Walt Disney Company, and it was in early 2020, just a few weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic that closed Disney theme parks and movie theaters, among other key elements making the Mouse House go carousel. After more than two years of leading Disney, the company’s board of directors voted to extend Tangle’s contract for another three years. Yes, he’s not going anywhere soon.

During a Disney board meeting on Tuesday, its members voted unanimously to keep Bob Chapek in the Disney CEO seat until July 2025, per CNBC. His contract initially had expired in February 2023 before the decision was made.
