Deadpool 3 promises to parody many Marvel movies

Marvel Studios has taken over the reigns of the third dead list Film after the Disney/Fox merger with Ryan Reynolds’ Maximum Effort co-production. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are back to write the screenplay, so you know it’s going to be just as crazy as the first two movies. Reese and Wernick will have more games to play with now that Merc With a Mouth is in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and they seem to already be thinking about what jokes they can make. while appearing in Post Credit podcast (via The Direct)The duo discussed the treasure trove of MCU films that are fair game.

“How many movies have they given us? 25? 26? 28? Something like that,” Reese told the podcast. “We have a treasure trove of things to mock now… and Deadpool is his equal. [opportunist] So that everyone is fair.”

When Disney and Fox completed their merger, most Deadpool fans were worried that having the character under the Disney banner would cause it to lose its rating. Time and time again, Reynolds, Reese, and Wernick have made sure fans know that MCU Deadpool will still be rated R.

“Don’t worry about it, they’ve been very supportive about that,” Reese told Den of Geek. “Now when it comes to a particular joke, if we cross a line we might at some point hear, ‘Maybe it’s not that joke.’ And I think they saw success and had more success. So I hope it’s a marriage in heaven. But we definitely had their support, and that’s a great thing to feel.”

Although we’ll have to wait a while for Deadpool 3 to start filming, there are a bunch of new Marvel Studios projects to look forward to, like the upcoming sequel Thor: Love and Thunder. Taika Waititi will return to the beeline and bring back Chris Hemsworth as the titular character, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster/Mighty Thor, Russell Crowe as Zeus, Jaimie Alexander as Lady Sif, Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/ Star Lord, Sean Gunn as Craiglin, Dave Bautista as Drax Destroyer, Karen Gillan as Nebula and Christian Bale as Gore the Lord’s Butcher. In addition to directing, Waititi will reprise his role as Korg. Thor: Love and Thunder in cinemas July 8, 2022!
