Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, the first major expansion of Monster Hunter Rise, launches today, June 30, on Nintendo Switch and PC. If you’ve been playing on a Nintendo Switch console, you might be interested in choosing a new Pro console that features a design based on the Elder Dragon Malzeno. This follows the design of the Magnamalo console which was launched along with the base game.

The story of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak takes place after Monster Hunter Rise’s defense of Kamura Village against the rampage ends. Dame Fiorayne comes from the kingdom and invites Hunters to travel to a new main hub, Elgado Outpost, which includes many new characters and activities as well as new Wirebug technologies and equipment. And there are, of course, plenty of new monsters to fight, too.
