Terminal roster creators tease for season two and beyond of Chris Pratt’s series

With so much competition in the streaming world, the likes of Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and Disney+ are always on the lookout for new content to attract fans to their own services.

Amazon’s latest series, The Terminal List, is another prime example of this, with the all-encompassing thriller boasting Hollywood star Chris Pratt as the lead actor.

As fans make their way through new episodes, attention is quickly turning to what the future might hold and it could be bright as The Terminal List is a show that has potential for season two and beyond.

The Terminal menu exploded on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, July 1, 2022.

Based on the bestselling novel by Jack Carr, the series follows Lieutenant General James Reese after returning home after a classified US Navy mission that saw his entire platoon ambushed.

Reese’s return home is met with conflicting memories of the events and persistent questions about his role in the failed mission.

However, as new evidence emerges, Reese discovers that he is at the center of a dark conspiracy and an unknown enemy is working against him, putting not only his life at risk but also the lives of his family and friends.

Why the shortlist could return for season two and beyond

After its first eight episodes, James Reese’s story is one that can be turned on and off.

That’s because the terminal list is based on author Jack Carr’s novel series that has a whopping five entries.

If Amazon had to adapt one novel per season, the series could theoretically run for five seasons and possibly longer if Jack Carr kept writing new books in the franchise.

The Terminal List novel series began with the release of the novel of the same name in 2018, which is followed every year by a new story.

In 2019, the sequel to the novel true believer It hit bookstore shelves while the series lasted The savage son, the hand of the devil and recently in the bloodwhich was only released in May 2022.

Content creators hint at more

While Amazon Prime Video hasn’t officially renewed the terminal slate for a second season, the show’s creators have hinted that there are plans for more.

Talking to rant screen, Author Jack Carr, series lead writer Dave Diglio and pilot director Antoine Fuqua quipped that they hoped the show would continue.

“Fingers crossed,” DeGilio said about the possibility of a second season while Fuqua replied, “That’s the point.”

“We definitely got into it with this big picture of wanting to do it,” the director continued. “So, if we bless and [are] Successful, Amazon will do it again.”

Dave Gillio went further, saying, “Yes, we have a roadmap for every season ahead. The only problem is this guy. [Carr] He writes one book a year, and it takes longer to make a show.”

In response, Carr joked, “I don’t know what their problem is.”
