The last two installments of Stranger Things Volume 4 from Volume 2 have been dropped on Netflix, so if you want to know, here’s a look at all the characters dying.
It’s only been weeks since the first volume dropped, but it’s seemed like years for fans waiting to know the fate of their favorite characters as the penultimate episode drops and finale today, July 1, on the streaming site.

Did Nancy die in Stranger Things?
At the end of Episode 7, fans are left with a cliffhanger question about whether Nancy (Natalia Dyer) will be murdered by Vickna (Jimmy Campbell Power).
Many fans guessed she didn’t die because she appeared in the trailer for Volume 2 and this theory was confirmed in Episode 8 titled Papa.
Nancy is left in a coma while trying to escape from “Upside Down”, the time when Vecna reveals his true identity and how he ended up with a strange, burning creature living in the other world. However, when Episode 8 begins, Nancy is still in a trance state, and Vecna shows her not only her backstory, but also what the next stage in his plan is – pretty much everyone in Hawkins is killed!
Vecna tied Nancy to the chair and instead of lifting her, crushing her eyes and breaking her bones as he did the others, he let her live because he wanted her to tell Eleven everything that was shown to her.
Who Dies in Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2?
While the gang plans how to confront Vecna, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) is still with Dr. Brenner (Matthew Modine) and Dr. Owens (Paul Reiser) and has learned the truth. But when Brenner doesn’t want Eleven back to Hawkins to help her friends in the fight. Brenner manages to put a collar on Eleven, subduing her.
Things take another turn for the worse at the Brenner facility when the military breaches it. Brenner manages to escape into the desert with Eleven in his arms, but is shot while protecting her.
After El confronts the army, Brenner has one last moment with Eleven, saying he’s proud of her, before succumbing to his injuries.

One death that will ravage fans is the death of Eddie Monson (I’m not crying, you are). Having been a bit cowardly against creatures and hiding after Chrissy’s death, Eddie (Joseph Quinn) sees his chance to help when the gang heads to the Upside Down.
When the Demobats attack them, Eddie fights them to buy Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) time and help him escape. Although Eddie initially survived, by the time the bat was gone, he died from his injuries to Dustin’s arms.
Another major death is the death of Vecna. After El manages to paralyze enemy Robin, Steve and Nancy go into the killing, setting him on fire and blowing him up with a shotgun. It looks like Vecna was killed off with the bats gone, but with season 5 in the making, you never know?
What about Max’s fate?
In the final episode, after playing bait for Vecna, the fate of Max (Sadie Sink) is left up in the air. When El finally goes to face Vecna, she and Max manage to outsmart her.
Mike (Fin Wolfhard) expresses his love for Eleven and helps her escape from Vecna’s grasp long enough to stop him. However, this latest encounter with Vecna leaves Max so injured that Kate Bush couldn’t help her and was left in a coma.
Max’s fate will likely be explained when the show’s makers release the show’s final season. However, if the Duffer Brothers interview with wrap Is anything he’s going through, he’s going to make you cry.
The brothers said, “We have an outline for season 5 and we’ve shown it on Netflix and they’ve responded really well. I mean, it was tough. It’s the end of the story. I’ve seen the CEOs cry and I’ve never seen them cry before — and it was wild.”
