Who Was Technoblade? Minecraft YouTuber sadly dies at the age of 23

YouTuber Technoblade has unfortunately died of cancer At the age of 23.

His family announced the devastating news in a video Posted on his channel on Thursday 30th June with the title: “So long nerds”.

“He was the coolest kid anyone could ever ask for. I miss Technoblade. Thank you all for everything. You meant so much to him,” said his father, who owns a film studio.

The internet star’s father also read a recent message from Technoblade himself revealing that his real name is Alex before thanking fans for their continued support.

Who Was Technoblade?

Technoblade, also known only as Techno, was a 23-year-old American YouTuber who was known for his Minecraft content. His real name is Alex, but we didn’t know it until after his death.

He has 10.7 million subscribers on YouTube where his bio reads: “I play video games a lot. I may not be the best, but I have a hot elbow.”

The YouTuber from San Francisco has never revealed an official face and usually hides behind a Pighead mask, but he has made brief appearances in a number of videos over the years.

He also has 862,000 followers on Twitch and has regularly collaborated with other YouTubers and streamers as well as competing with fellow gaming broadcaster Dream.

The internet personality had three younger sisters and a brother who occasionally appeared in his videos as well as a dog named Fluff.

He was diagnosed with cancer in August 2021

Alex, who lived with his father when his parents separated, announced his cancer diagnosis in August 2021.

in video Titled Where I Was, he revealed that he had recently noticed that his right arm was in pain a lot and assumed it must have been from playing the videos.

“I’ve had my arm for a few days and I haven’t felt better,” he continued, before adding that he noticed his right shoulder was “swollen” and assumed he had broken a bone.

“They did a few scans and told me the reason my arm hurts is because I have cancer,” he said before adding that he felt a bit “ridiculous” talking about such a serious topic while playing Minecraft.

Technoblad went on to say that after the scans came, he was taken to another hospital where he did more tests and had a biopsy before going on chemotherapy.
