After debuting on Digital, 4K and Blu-ray, the wicked Now officially heading to streaming, the animated film is now available to stream exclusively on Peacock starting Friday, July 1st. in the wickedAfter a lifetime of legendary heists, notorious criminals Mr. Wolf, Mr. Snake, Mr. Piranha, Mr. Shark and Mrs. Tarantula are finally caught. To avoid a prison sentence, the outlaws must undo their toughest trick yet – becoming model citizens. Under the tutelage of their mentor Professor Marmalad, a suspicious gang sets out to deceive the world that they are getting good.
Pierre Perville directs the wicked From a screenplay by Eitan Cohen, based on the children’s book series by Aaron Blaby. The film’s voice cast includes Sam Rockwell as Mr. Wolf, Marc Maron as Mr. Snake, Anthony Ramos as Mr. Piranha, Craig Robinson as Mr. Shark, Awkwafina as Mrs. Tarantula, Richard Ayoad as Professor Robert Marmalade IV, and Zazie Beetz as Diane Foxington, Lily Singh as Tiffany Flavitt, and Alex Borstein as Misty Loggins.
“Sure, it’s a tribute to my French heritage, where I really come from, because I think France for the longest time has had a very deep graphic novel scene and an animated scene. It’s one of the biggest animation industry in the world,” Perifel Explained in a previous interview with ComingSoon.net. “But the thing is, we were at the crossroads of a lot of influences. Japan, for sure, and the United States, obviously, and then some European countries around, both in terms of graphic novels, films, animations so I grew up with all of that.”
“When I came here, in the States, I think animation wasn’t as well known as we had it in Europe,” Berivel continued. “So I grew up with every Dragon Balls and early Miyazaki movies and TV shows. A lot of those stuck with me. I think the arrival of the live stream has brought more anime here now, but until recently, that wasn’t the case. So I kind of wanted to explore that a little bit on screen. Just what animation style are we talking about? What is the look of the characters, designs and all that? I wanted to change a little of that. What is the pictorial nature, what will this movie be. Making sure it’s a little different from what we usually see in Hollywood animation, in big Hollywood CGI movies. So all that kind of nutrition is in this. I wanted to do something different and I could also use all my influences to do it.”
