Actor Adam Warlock Will Poulter ‘Grateful’ For Support From Marvel Fans

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Filming wrapped last month, and we’re expected to see the return of Chris Pratt (Peter Quill/Star-Lord), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Dave Bautista (Drax), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Sean Jean (Kraglin/On-set Rocket), Boom Klementieff (Mantis), Bradley Cooper (Rocket), and Vin Diesel (Groot). There will also be some newcomers in the Marvel movie, including Will Poulter as Adam Warlock. During a recent conversation with us weeklyPoulter talked about the upcoming movie and the support he got from Marvel fans.

“There have been some challenges with the character’s physical preparations. I’m kind of hesitant to talk about it just because I don’t know what it looks like yet. So I’m kind of nervous to say anything until I’ve seen it because I don’t even know if it’s what I did or experienced.” It has worked so far,” Poulter shared with a laugh. “But I will say I’ve had incredibly good support and couldn’t have had more help with the diet and training required. It was key. I definitely didn’t go far and did it on my own.”

During another recent interview with PlaylistPoulter spoke about the audition process and revealed that he didn’t know what part it was.

“I took the test for the first time in June of last year [2021]and that was my first time auditioning, and then I got the role in September, I think,” Poulter explained. Then I started filming in December… I didn’t know the character, at first, I was auditioning for. I kind of knew closer to time [of casting] Whom do you read. Although I was not familiar with Adam Warlock beforehand, I was very familiar with him Guardians of the GalaxyAnd it was my favorite kind of “planet” in the Marvel universe, if you like. I’m such a huge fan of tone, creativity, the work of James Gunn and so many actors, you know, that I now call my colleagues, and I’m so grateful for them. So, having any role in this world is very nice to me.”

Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3. It is scheduled for release on May 23, 2023. But first, The Guardians will be seen in Thor: Love and Thunder On July 8 and in Galaxy Holiday’s Special Guardians later this year.
