Money in the Bank arrives later today, and there are two names that have been talked about a lot regarding the surprise appearances. That would be Bayley and Cody Rhodes, and while there isn’t much to say regarding Rhodes just yet, a new report has come out of combat choice He offered some thoughts on Bayley’s return in WWE. Fightful says Bayley is already preparing for her return to the ring, something she has also been teasing on social media. WWE sources confirmed that she was in the ring working on her comeback, but there is no known timeline at this time.
As for appearing on Money in the Bank, WWE sources indicated that Bayley wasn’t in Las Vegas for Money in the Bank as of Friday night, but that also went for a good chunk of the roster since so many were on SmackDown last night and we had to travel later . Bayley’s comeback would instantly give WWE a boost of energy, no matter what brand she ends up being a part of. Because of injuries and the condition of Sasha Banks and Naomi, the women’s division is a little thinner than usual, and Bayley would immediately make a big name jump and turn things around.
When she was injured, she was still a heel, and she maintained the same playful tone on her social media during her time away from the ring, so there’s nothing to suggest she’ll change roles when she returns. However, that’s what everyone thought when Becky Lynch came back and then broke out in a full-heel character after her return at SummerSlam, so there’s always the possibility of a character transformation.
