Elvis ex Linda Thompson shares intimate photos with King after they were ‘erased’ from resume | music | entertainment

The new Elvis movie has been criticized by some former The King fans and close family members who were not consulted in production. One of them is Elvis Presley’s main girlfriend after Priscilla Presley’s separation and divorce, Linda Thompson. From 1972 to 1976, she lived with the music icon in Graceland, and although the film essentially ended in 1974, before moving on to his death in 1977, she only appeared for a split second in archive footage and was not even mentioned.

Linda previously wrote on social media: “No, I haven’t seen it yet. The trailer looks very entertaining and Austin Butler seems to be doing a great filming. But due to the neglect of so many people who were so important and effective in Elvis’ life – I wouldn’t call it an autobiography. I spent four Years and a half of my life I live with Elvis and care deeply for him on many levels. I shared a hospital room with him every time he was in the hospital. I had my bed next to him during those times. I traveled on every tour with him. I was the only woman who did that in This life. I was in every Las Vegas engagement during those years. I literally saved his life on several occasions.”

Billy regularly shares fond memories of hanging out with The King and Linda upstairs in Graceland, with his wife Jo on their YouTube channel Elvis Fans Matter.

He added to Linda’s bombing of the film on Facebook with his own act, “We agree with everything Linda said. It’s true and everyone who’s been with Elvis knows it! We haven’t seen the movie either and don’t know we’re going to do it. It’s a shame so many people have been left out. I feel Like Linda does, no matter how hard you try, they will never be able to get rid of the role you played in Elvis’ life. I came from Tupelo in the same car with him to Memphis and was close to him for the rest of his life. I loved him more than anyone knows. I kept Joe is with him until the end of his life and we are honored to be a part of it.”

Billie Joe’s wife added, “I am deeply offended that Billy and I weren’t invited to the premiere, but I guess we’re not sophisticated enough to be included, and other members of Elvis’s friends and family were also left out. So be it, at least I won’t stand with my lips puckered and looking like I’ve been swallowed. We were told that Billy was cast in the movie, he wasn’t interviewed or even contacted about it, but Billy should have been invited because he was in Memphis and others were invited who weren’t even close to Elvis…we will always love Elvis and he will always be honest thanks For all the fans who love him too.”
