Saturday, the Twitter account of Weird things The writer’s room revealed a reunion kiss between Hopper (David Harbor) and Joyce (Winona Ryder) wasn’t something a writer wrote. Instead, Harbor and Ryder chose to add it during filming, making it one of the most touching moments in the entire series.

The season initially began with an order of eight episodes from Netflix, only for the Duffer Brothers to realize that the story was too big to contain eight episodes. Not only did Netflix allow the two brothers to scale episodes, but the streaming device also gave them an extra episode to finish everything while preparing the show’s final season at the same time.
Matt Dover previously explained to twisting. “This has been a fun season for us. This season we knew Season 5 was going to be our last, we had to start revealing a lot.”
