Hunter X Hunter Original series creator Yoshihiro Togashi only shows love for the current manga series, but wows Yo Yo Hakusho Plus some great new artwork that imagines a complete intersection between the two massive franchises! It’s been a very big year for the creator, as after spending the past four years hibernating during the recent hiatus, Togashi has been constantly providing fans with updates about his plans to return to the Hunter x Hunter manga series. That’s not all whether it was his first series, Yo Yo Hakushois now celebrating the 30th anniversary of its original appearance in the anime.
Yu Yu Hakusho’s 30th anniversary and the imminent return of the Hunter x Hunter manga are also fun offshoots of the main celebration as Togashi himself is now in the middle of his 35th anniversary as the creator of manga in general. Shueisha is doing his best for the occasion as the creator gets a special art exhibition to be launched in Japan later this year. This new exhibition will showcase Togashi’s work harkening back to his career, and this includes a new visual show that brings different characters from the Action Series together in an awesome crossover! Togashi is currently working on bringing Hunter X Hunter Back from the gap. It was not revealed when Togashi would be ready to release new chapters of the series, but the creator has been sharing regular updates with fans on Twitter. While these updates are pretty vague since fans don’t really know what stage of the process the creator is currently going through, these updates prove that the creator may have a greater return in mind than fans might expect due to the creator’s known health issues holding him back so far.
Togashi’s original plan noted four years ago was to release ten new chapters of the series between each gap, but it’s been four years since the last update. The creator seems to have more chapters in mind this time around, but hopefully it won’t be long before we can see the manga in action again.
