Stranger Things star teases season 5 release date

Fans had a much longer wait than they expected between seasons 3 and 4 of Weird thingsAs the coronavirus pandemic has put production back for several months, star David Harbor recently joked that production likely won’t start in Season 5 until next year, which will lead to a 2024 release. So it’s likely to be rolled out in the middle of 2024, based on our track record.”

Season 4 of Weird things Filming originally began in early 2020, but was pushed into the fall. With 18 months from the start of production until the episodes aired, Harbor’s trajectory is in keeping with the series’ past, even if it’s nothing more than speculation.

While the excitement for Season 5 will be palpable among fans, its development will bring some bitter feelings, as it will also be the last of the series. However, Harbor theorized that details about the appropriate sub-elements of the series will begin to emerge before season five airs, which may help ease the agony of farewell among audiences.

The actor admitted, “I think once the show is over, or maybe six months before it ends, you’ll hear about any spin-offs they have planned.”

Details about the planned spin-offs are being kept, but Harbor admitted he wasn’t averse to seeing a new actor play a younger version of Hopper.

“At this point, I think Hopper is a character that can exist independently of me. If they want to go back in time, forward in time… I’d like to see another actor play Hopper, and see what they can offer this,” Harbor admitted. So he suggested tranceJacob Elordi for his part, noting that he “could be as handsome as I was in my 20s.”
