Jackman played Wolverine for nearly 20 years, from 2000’s X-Men to Logan 2017. The Australian actor has since been hanging up his claws, sparking heated conversations about who could take charge of the famous actor.
Many stars have been chosen by fans in recent years, but no one has officially revealed any actual information about the next step for the Marvel hero.
Until now.
Welsh actor Taron Egerton has spoken about the possibility of becoming the new and improved Wolverine.
Egerton made his mark in Hollywood after joining the Kingsman series in 2014.
Since then, he has wowed audiences with his portrayal of Elton John in the biopic Rocketman.
The star was also one of the most popular suggestions to replace Jackman after Wolverine’s tenure ended.
And now the actor has revealed that he’s been talking to Marvel about the possibility.
Egerton revealed that he “met” with Marvel Studios executives to discuss the role.
This meeting included Marvel president, Kevin Feige, who oversees the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe.
“I don’t think it would be wrong to say that,” the 32-year-old revealed in a new interview.
However, Egerton admitted he was a little worried about taking on the iconic Jackman role.
He said, “I’d be excited, but I’d also be worried because Hugh is so attached to the role that I wonder if it was too difficult for someone else to do.”

In the film Multi-Worlds, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Stephen Strange visits a world inhabited by new heroes who have formed a secret crime-fighting group: the Illuminati.
Included in this lineup of benefactors was none other than Professor X – the leader of the X-Men.
Traditionally, Professor X and Wolverine go hand in hand, so it might be right around the corner.
The film also introduced Mr. Fantastic for the first time, played by John Krasinski.
The debut of the first Fantastic 4 member also opened the door for the arrival of the next big bad in the MCU.
Doctor Doom is one of the most menacing and dangerous villains in the Marvel comic book universe.
With him coming around the corner, the Avengers will need all the help they can get to fight him.
