Chaos ; Head Noah is the portal that fans, both dedicated and new, have been waiting for for years. This game lays the foundation and lore for the rest of the popular SciAdv series in Science Adventure (Steins, Gate, Chaos, Child, etc..). Yet, strangely enough, it had never received a proper localization for over 13 years, despite how well integrated it is with the general narrative, until this October.
In the past, fans had to settle for the following segment: Chaos; Child, which was released on Steam back in 2019. This visual novel, despite being the story of a stand-alone thematic sequel to the original Chaos game; Emotional one), depending heavily on the context created in the original game.
Moreover, chaos; Noah’s Head, the new, improved version released one year after the original, contained many important, previously unknown revelations about the true nature of the main antagonist (the Commission of 300). Multiple character backgrounds have also been explored in the newly added endings.
Many should have heard of Steins; Gate, one of the most popular anime releases of the past decade, but Chaos; Head (from the same developer) is no less cool, especially in the science fiction department. Both Chaos entries use a very unique storytelling system called the “Illusion Trigger”. While using this system, inspired by a worldview based on brain science and quantum theory, the main characters will engage in a global plot story of psychological suspense, and draw on these other fantasies to discover the true truth of Shibuya, Tokyo.
steam version of Chaos; Head Noah is set to release in Saturday October 7, 2022 on PC via Steam. This would coincide with the Western version of Chaos; Noah’s Head / Chaos; Baby double pack Same day for Nintendo Switch.
Chaos; Child is basically unchanged, but Noah will feature remastered movies and CGs in 1080p. The engine has also been upgraded, and new songs have been made exclusively for this new port. Getting into the new narrative content would be a spoiler, but let’s say there’s something for every kind of SciAdv fan, even those waiting for the next Anonymous; Code.
The SteelBook Launch Edition also includes exclusive art drawn by character designer Mutsumi Sasaki and additional costume DLC for CHAOS; HEAD NOAH, although one of these costumes will not be coming to the NA/EU version. If readers have gained a new interest in Science Adventure from reading this article (which they should!), there is no better place or time to start than here. The price of the steam version has not been determined, but the dual bundle is set at $49.99 for both games. At this price, it’s great that gamers will never regret.
