The sheer size and reach of the brand means that approvals for merchandise can fall through loopholes. The user who first shared photos of Stranger Things Monopoly on Reddit claimed that the game was acquired at a “nationally recognized retailer and consumer bought at a fair and square. No one stole it; no one leaked a sample.”
