Lovecraft Country fans are still upset about the series’ cancellation

On Twitter, many users have considered HBO canceling the beloved series ahead of its second season. over a period LovecraftOn the net, a tumultuous online community of fans discussed every point of the show on Sunday nights. This was a strong list for HBO as it followed after global acclaim guards happened. Jon Smollett and Jonathan Majors totally pulled everyone’s socks off in the lead roles. Some have even noted Michael K. Williams’ contributions to the series in light of his death. Misha Green shared some pictures of her plans for the second season. But nothing came of it at this time. In an interview from 2020, Green said, “We know the trend. It’s about the trend. You have a trend, and then you explore and find where it takes you. Until the beginning of this season of this show, we knew what the trend was we wanted to get into in later seasons. It was very exciting.” Matt Ruff’s novel is about restoring genre spaces for people of color. For me, this was an open book. Being a genre fan, there’s so much to play in. It’s endless. And the idea that it’s not just for black people but that you can open it up to all people of color is exciting to me.” .
