When Marvel Studios announced that a new character from the Hawkeye Disney+ series (Maya Lopez, aka Echo) was getting her own series, fans were baffled; Of all the characters on the Marvel roster, Echo seemed like a somewhat ambiguous choice. However, after seeing how Maya Lopez’s story unfolds in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, sound echo The series not only makes sense – it has become a much-anticipated addition. Echo’s story in Hawkeye has already brought Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin to the MCU – and fans are speculating that Charlie Cox’s Daredevil won’t be far behind.
Now there’s a new rumor from Marvel claiming they only know how much Daredevil we’ll see in him sound echoAnd what kind of new (but creative) outfit would he wear!
Weekly Planet (via MCU LiveThere was a clip where Scooper James Clement claimed he knew Daredevil Charlie Cox would be in Echo for three episodes, wearing a red and black suit!
“Yes, Daredevil is in it for three episodes, as in Charlie Cox. Kingpin and Vinnie Donofrio in four episodes,” Clement said. “The story of Kingpin getting started running for mayor of New York City. He’s obviously going to wear an eye patch because he was shot in the head in a Hawkeye…suit and looking for Jessica Jones.”
The conversation continues to speculate on how Echo could lay a greater foundation for the Marvel Netflix Universe as a whole to be incorporated into the MCU. As always, it’s ambiguous whether Netflix continuity will be seen as an official canon, or just a series of events with a simple nod of the head, without referring to it directly (and re-locating/at will).
The Daredevil costume has played with many iterations of the red and black color scheme over the years. The character’s most traditional look is the all-red suit with the double “D” badge lined in black; However, one of the most popular modern designs was the black “Shadowland” suit that Daredevil wore as the captain in The Hand, with red “D” highlights. Charlie Cox’s Daredevil dress had a mixture of crimson red with splashes of black – Marvel Studios appears to be following pretty much the same approach. Of course, as with D’Onofrio’s more comic book as with Kingpin hookDaredevil’s MCU costume will probably be tweaked to be familiar enough, but still new to fans.
Echo is in production for Disney+. The MCU Daredevil series is in development as well.
