After the curiosity and happiness of the masses with Dune: Part One In 2021, Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of Frank Herbert’s science fiction series is back for more, with Dune: Part Two It’s set to bow in 2023. The blockbuster movie will feature a mix of returning and new cast members – and it looks like production of a sequel to the story will ramp up pretty soon. According to new reports, Dune: Part Two Production will officially begin in Budapest, Hungary on July 21. Pre-filming for the film is currently underway in the Veneto region of Altivole, Italy, mainly for filming outdoor locations.
Dune: Part Two It is expected to see the return of Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, Josh Brolin as Journey Halleck, Javier Bardem as Stillgar, Zendaya as Chaney, with Christopher Walker as Emperor Shadam IV, and Lea Seydoux as Lady Margot, and Florence Poe are in negotiations to play Princess Aerolan.
“We’ve heard for the past few decades that this book can’t be adapted, and that it’s an impossible task. I think it’s in the back of the studio’s mind, it’s still the same!” Villeneuve said movie total In an interview last year. “So the first thing was to prove that there was a great, popular movie out there, and I think I proved that — everyone at Warner Bros. and Legendary, they support the project 100 percent. They feel it would need a pretty poor box office score to not have Dune: the part. The second, because they love the movie. They’re proud of the movie, so they want the movie to move forward. And they still make half of it. So, you know I’m very optimistic.”
“I’m writing [Part Two] Now, and I feel like I’m eight years old again,” he added, “This is very uncommon for me.” It’s the first time I’ve experienced it where I’m watching one of my films, and I have a moment of deep gratitude and deep joy, and I say, ‘Thank you, life, for letting me bring that to the screen.’ [laughs] I don’t know how others will feel about it. but me? Denis Villeneuve when he was 14 years old? Thank you.”
