It’s been less than a week since the last episodes of Weird things Season 4 debuted on Netflix, and while some fans are still reeling from the emotional fallout from the season finale, some are already looking forward to when we can expect season 5. History, though avoiding giving any kind of time frame, rather stressing that they are more interested in the quality of the final season than the speed at which it arrives. Previously, however, the filmmakers emphasized that we should not expect such a long waiting period as it was between seasons 3 and 4.
“It depends who you ask,” Matt Dover shared with him collider Regarding the target release date. “That’s what we’re still thinking about. If you ask our ad, and our line producer, they want more time for production. And the post-production supervisor wants more time for post-production. So it’s going to be a great discussion. How long does everyone get? That’s it.” The thing is, the more you reduce production, the more you reduce post-production, the more things are compromised.”
And he continued, “It’s just a balancing act of, ‘Okay, how much are we willing to compromise to get the offer sooner? Is it so important that we give everyone the time they need to get this right, without indulging? “I’m sure we’ll find out what that line is, but the whole thing was that I wasn’t too worried.”
The creators never intended to take a very long break between the past two seasons, even as production began in early 2020 before having to take a big break due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The film maker admitted: “Because of the coronavirus, there could have been a two-and-a-half-year break between three and four years, and then it turned into a full three-year hiatus.” “I’ve never been as worried about this as some people are, just because we’re kids in the ’90s and just grown up waiting at least two years for the movies to sequel. If not. [We] You want it as fast as possible, but as good as possible. Ross and I will always prefer quality, I think. At the end of the day, I think it’s better to be good than to be thrown out quickly.”
Earlier this month, star David Harbor claimed that the rest of the year he will commit to writing the project, which could launch in 2023 and likely release in 2024.
