It is reported that WWE Creative assumes that Sasha Banks and Naomi will not return

Earlier today, it was reported that Naomi and Sasha Banks have been removed from WWE’s internal roster, bringing a huge step closer to their official departure from WWE. WWE has never commented on the status of the stars with the company outside of the initial announcements for Raw and SmackDown, but a new report from combat choice It adds a few details to the mix, including showcasing this stand from WWE Creative. According to the report, WWE Creative is working on the assumption that Banks and Naomi will never return, and a member of the Creative team said they had not heard of any contingency plans being made should they return.

PWInsider reported Thursday that Naomi and Banks have been removed from WWE’s internal roster, and Fightful has learned that they disappeared from their other internal roster weeks ago. No one from WWE Digital has been told to remove anyone from the official website, though the report does mention when someone was asked to edit Sasha Banks’ tag for a photo gallery.

Reports indicated that the banks’ legal team was involved in securing the release, but neither Banks nor Naomi have commented publicly on the situation. If they’re not actually part of WWE, it’s only a matter of time before they appear in another company, and many will immediately point to AEW and Impact Wrestling as the most likely destinations.

WWE has also been quiet about the future of the Women’s Tag Team Championship, which Banks and Naomi left before leaving the arena before Monday Night Raw. Shortly after their departure, it was announced that WWE would hold a tournament to determine the new women’s tag team champions, but after that nothing was followed at all, at least on television. The women’s division was pretty weak in Tag Teams before they left, so WWE may struggle to find enough teams to compete.

Hopefully there’s some clarity on the way for this situation on both sides, but we’ll keep you posted as we learn more.
