The Nintendo Switch Pro rumors are back. Throughout 2020 and a bit of 2021, you can’t escape the Nintendo Switch Pro rumors. However, nothing came of these rumors. Nintendo revealed and released the Nintendo Switch OLED later that year, but it didn’t go along with the rumors at all. Almost a year on since the rumors went away, it’s starting to escalate again, and just like last time, it’s coming from a wide range of sources ranging from credible to questionable. The latest rumors come from one of the most credible sources.
on Twitter, pixelbar They convey what they have heard about the much rumored piece of hardware. According to insiders, Nintendo is preparing to reveal the new device later this year. The exact verbiage used is “near the end of the year”. One thing that has been revealed is that it works with existing gigs, improves performance, and retains the same form factor and brand.
Of course, the little found here should be taken with caution, especially given the history of Nintendo Switch Pro rumors. Last time, there were a lot of reliable sources saying a lot of things, and none of them came to fruition. As for Nintendo, it hasn’t commented on any of this. The only time a potential new piece of hardware has been talked about or commented on has been in meetings with investors, so there’s no reason to expect this pattern to be broken.
