Russell Crowe was supposed to play the devil instead of Zeus in Thor: Love and Thunder

cFull of spoilers for the ‘newThor: Love and ThunderA movie if you haven’t seen it yet, we’ll talk about it Russell Crowe A character in the movie and one of the post-Credit scenes. As you may have already seen in the movie trailers, Russell Crowe appears in the movie apparently playing a version of Zeus, the Greek god of lightning bolt.

His interpretation of the character was supposed to be comical and he definitely delivers on it, but don’t make it crooked. Zeus is actually an antagonist in the movie, and he proves it in the second scene after the movie ends. But a new revelation shows that Russell Crowe wasn’t supposed to play Zeus in the movie, but rather a more sinister role. Are you ready for this?

Russell Crowe as Satan?

Popular artist Miles Teeves showed some pictures on his official Instagram account where he revealed Marvel Studios’ plans. They initially tasked him with painting Russell Crowe as the king of the underworld itself: Satan. Teves has two photos to show off his drawings.

The first has the following caption: “The good folks at Odd Studio in Australia who ordered this art told me that Russell Crowe might have a comedic cameo as the devil in the new ‘Thor: Love & Thunder’. t work that way. I hope it does.” Not because he saw my drawings. Although I understood.”

The second has the following words: “Another shot of Old Ross as the Devil for ‘Thor: Love & Thunder.’ The people at Odd Studio told me to shoot him at his current weight due to his character being rotten with humor. I would have modeled this drawing myself if it wasn’t for my body The current is very wavy and fluffy,” Teves joked.

It’s hard to ignore those jokes about Russell Crowe’s chubby body and we can’t help but wonder if that’s why we didn’t get him as a demon. But there are other theories as to why that didn’t happen, especially when you look at the second post-credit scene. Zeus invites Hercules (played by Roy and **King Kent by Ted Lasso) to go after Thor. Is there a version of the story where the demon called Mephisto to go after Thor? We will never know.
