WWE’s Logan Paul summons The Miz for a SummerSlam match

Logan Paul is WWE’s newest signing, and from the day he signed his WWE contract he was already in the works by picking up on his feud with The Miz. The Miz and Paul teamed up at WrestleMania 38 and won their match, but the Miz then turned on Paul and hit the Skull Crushing Finale before running away. Paul made it clear that he didn’t want anything to do with Miz unless he was facing him in the ring, and at his most recent show, Paul openly said he would come to attend The Miz at SummerSlam. WWE hasn’t set an official match yet, but it certainly looks like it will be confirmed soon.

In his new promo, Paul said, “Miz, I don’t know what to tell you man. I’m not confused about what I said, and I definitely wouldn’t change my mind based on what The Miz said. I don’t want to be your partner. I don’t want to do anything with you.” Actually, I said it when I signed my WWE contract, and I’m going to say it again now so you can read my lips. I’m coming for you, Miz… at SummerSlam. Do you understand?”

When Paul signed his new deal, which lasted for several years, he immediately said that he did not want to cooperate with The Miz, and would deal with the person who betrayed him on the biggest stage in WWE. Now it looks like they’re going to have their singles match at SummerSlam later this month, and we’ll have to wait and see if there are any kind of conditions attached once that happens.

This may also be the first step in a longer conflict, so this is probably just a standard one-on-one match before any other terms or conditions are thrown into it, such as ladders, chairs, cages, and more.

On Paul’s Employsive podcast, Paul talked about his first WWE match at WrestleMania, calling it “electric” and painful. “It’s electric. When someone you love is in that loop and doing these moves….by the way, I haven’t practiced any of those moves. This surface is hard, it’s not bouncy, it’s not the trampoline, it’s not tender, it’s plywood, it’s wood” Wrestling is fake. “Shut your mouth, I’m in pain. The left side of my body is killing me now. These are real blows, it hurts.”
