Scott Derrickson’s new thriller is heading to video-on-demand services much sooner than some movie fans might expect, especially given its positive box office performance. On Monday afternoon, Blumhouse announced that black phone It will be available on video-on-demand services on Friday.
Starting July 15, you’ll be able to watch black phone At home, according to news from Blumhouse. A price hasn’t been revealed yet, but accessing a movie digitally after it hits theaters directly is usually up to $20 or $25. You can check out the ad below!

black phone The movie is set in the 1970s, with star Ethan Hawke playing the kidnapper and serial killer called The Grabber. The film also stars Mason Thames in his first-ever movie role, playing main character Finney Shaw, who has been kidnapped by Grabber and must find a way to escape his clutches. In addition to directing, Derrickson wrote the script along with long-time collaborator C. Robert Cargill. The film is based on a short story written by Joe Hill.
Speaking of Hill, the beloved horror writer had an idea for a sequel to black phoneDerrickson hopes to turn that into a second movie in the series.
“Joe Hill gave me a great idea to complement it black phone That, if this movie does well, I will.
