Bob Williams interview appears as the late engineer explains spending $50,000 on crack

An interview with the late engineer Bob Williams, not to be mistaken with NASA medal-winning astronomer Robert Williams, went viral on social media.

The original video was published in 1981, but clips from the interview have recently resurfaced on Twitter, leading to the engineer’s story going viral within a few days.

This is explained by Bob Williams, who died shortly after the interview, about spending money on crack.

What we know about Bob Williams

Bob Williams was a Harlem-educated engineer who worked in communications and engineering in the 1980s.

He had a respectable career and a job that paid him a staggering $33,000 a year in the ’80s with expenses and a car as part of his contract.

However, Bob only spent about two weeks at this job after failing to show up for work for several days.

Bob was an engineer but his name should not be confused with Robert Williams, who was awarded the 1999 NASA Distinguished Public Service Medal for his contributions as an astronomer.

Crack interview appears again

Bob 1981 an interview From the TV show Like It Is with reporter Jill Noble has started appearing on social media in recent days.

The program looked at issues related to the black community and was originally broadcast from 1968 to 2011.

The video featuring Bob looked at the story of his addiction and how he used to spend hundreds of dollars on crack a day while working as an engineer. Bob revealed that he spent over $50,000 in his first nine months after becoming addicted to crack and once blew $1,600 in six hours.

In the interview, Bob talked about spending his savings on crack and explained how he lost his job.

“My account was constantly exposed and it stayed that way,” he said. “I am now self-employed because I couldn’t find a job.

I recently got a job that was paying me $33,000 a year and it took two weeks. I showed up for work on Monday, on Tuesday I made the mistake of stopping at crack house before going to work so I was absent on Tuesday.”

Bob continued, “I was absent on Wednesday. I figured ‘I’d better get better or I won’t stay here much longer.'” Thursday and Friday I went to work. The following Monday, after a short work I had to do, I didn’t return to work until Wednesday. Friday was my last day.”

The show’s host, Jill Noble, revealed at the end of the video that Bob Williams passed away shortly after the interview was shown.

The original interview aired on September 12, 1981 but has resurfaced on social media on multiple occasions.
