Hunter x Hunter Star Post A Throwback To Their Middle School Killua Cosplay

Hunter x Hunter is making headlines these days thanks to the return of the manga, and all eyes are on creator Yoshihiro Togashi in the aftermath. After all, the creator is working on getting the series back in print, and Hunter x Hunter fans are celebrating whatever that’s possible. And now, it looks like the Voice of Killua is joining us with an old-school costume show for fans.

This post comes courtesy of Maria Ise, the Japanese actress who voiced Killua Zoldyck in the anime. Over the years, the star has become one of Hunter x Hunter’s biggest supporters through thick and thin. So when Tanabata came to Japan this month, Ise celebrated by showing her love for Killua before she ever recorded the party.

As you can see above, Ise did a full-blown Killua costume when she was just 12 years old while a friend brought Gon back to life. The actress wrote on Twitter that she wanted nothing more than to be Killua because the character was her first love. To this day, Killua is admired by Ise for everything they have been through. So of course, you can see why the voice actor considers Hunter x Hunter to be the dream role.

Ise’s love for the series is no secret, and the actress is one of the millions who are excited to see Hunter x Hunter return. The manga stopped in 2018 and has had its longest hiatus to date. During that time, Togashi has been busy treating some chronic health issues, and they have recovered enough to resume painting. And thanks to his Twitter profile, fans can follow the creator’s work in real time!
