Kiernan Shipka is back! Riverdale On Sunday night, she reprized her role as fan-favorite Sabrina Spellman when she came to the aid of Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch) in “The Witches of Riverdale” after all the town boys were murdered thanks to the machinations of Percival Pickens (Chris O’Shea). By the time she passed, she had helped bring back loved ones who had fallen out of the gang, and while this wasn’t the first time the witch had come to help save the day in Riverdale, it might not be the last either. Shipka said TV guide (Across splash screenNot only will she be happy to be back in the final season of Riverdale, but she feels Sabrina has to.
“Yes, she should come back,” Shipka said. “I think they’ll need her help again.” “I would like to say [they should] They tend to mess around – no pun intended – as much as they can and work hard and believe that everything will work out, but at the end of the day, maybe call Sabrina again really. I think they’re going to need it, to be perfectly honest.
Shipka also said that she feels passionate about keeping Sabrina’s character alive despite the cancellation Sabrina’s Spooky Adventures And she’s always ready to play it again.
For the last season of RiverdaleI told [Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa] Whenever you need me, I’m there. “I’m your girl,” she said. Plus, I think both Roberto and I – and I don’t want to put words in his mouth – but I really think we’re really excited about this character and keeping it alive and well in the zeitgeist, in the universe. She means a lot to a lot of people, it’s fun to share with everyone and it’s really fun to not only be her, but to get people excited about her. One of the fun things about doing this is to share the work, and when people like it, you want to keep doing it. I, for sure, and I think Roberto too, want to constantly see where it might go. I really don’t know what that sounds like, but I support it. I don’t know if it’s been a year from now, and I don’t know if it’s two or three, but I’m still patient.”
As for the final seventh season of RiverdaleLooks like the series will be over. Aguirre-Sacasa has previously talked about how Season 6 will end with a “big swing” which in turn will set up for a big Season 7 – which definitely sounds like something they might need Sabrina for.
“I’m out of conversations with the studio, The CW, and [network president] Mark Bedowitz, Aguirre-Sacasa said. When we got renewed for Season 7, despite not being told at the time that it would be the final season, I think we all feel it might be. When Mark and I talked about it…it was bittersweet. Having said that, we are very proud of the run we got, and the call came in while we were working on the final episode of Season 6. Great swing and quieter finish. And it definitely encouraged us to go into the big swing of Season 7. It’s really exciting.”
