Liv Morgan had a huge night at Money in the Bank earlier this month, winning the Women’s Money in a Bank Ladder Match and cashing out her contract to defeat underpowered Ronda Rousey at the SmackDown Women’s Championship. But between the inevitable (and already confirmed) rematch with Rousey and Charlotte Flair’s impending comeback, some fans are already concerned that Morgan’s first reign may be short and echoing what happened last year when Nikki ASH grabbed the gold and won the medal. However, WWE appears to have taken note of the fan support that Morgan was generating. PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported this week that a source from WWE told him “they’ve never heard pops louder before” when Morgan competed in the SmackDown live event circuit over the weekend. Morgan’s rematch with Rousey is set for SummerSlam, though the jury is still out on whether Rousey will turn his heels at some point during the program and take on the young champ. She thought her return to WWE at the Royal Rumble would continue the heel streak that had led her to WrestleMania 35, but WWE focused her direction and made her likable when she was chasing Flair for the SmackDown title.
