In a message to Hodge’s Instagram, which you can check out below, the actor revealed that he just scored some ADRs for the film to help put the “finishing touches” on. He also quipped that, “As a passionate comic book lover who’s seen a damn near every superhero movie, I can confidently say #BlackAdamMovie is incredible!”

“When [Dwayne] “Welcome to Black Adam,” Hodge said in a previous interview, “It was more like what I imagined winning the lottery. Universe. I didn’t care what it was for so long just because I was a fan of it. I grew up on graphic novels. I got into the business so I could earn money to buy Batman games, you know? But in terms of the pursuit of this type of car – without a certain personality, but just any foot in the door – many years have passed. It’s been like 13 to 15 years of constantly going up the racket and telling him to turn down… so it was really an affirmation of those last few years of chasing and hustling and getting ready. And for me, it was a real moment of disbelief.”

“As a fan, comic book lover, and superhero lover, I love the nature of Hawkman,” Hodge continued. He’s an absolute warrior. He’s savage and brutal for the best of reason. He’s well-meaning. But the thing that I love so much about him and that I personally relate to is his understanding and his love of trying to get the date right. It has to do with the brain part of him. He understands; he’s been there. It’s history. And when it comes to certain things in the textbooks, he really wants to have it.”
