Dan Slott of the Fantastic Four reveals canceled plans to team up with Sue Storm with Marvel Villains

Next month will see the publication of Fantastic Four #46, the number that will mark the final story in writer Dan Slott’s show on Marvel’s First Family. Before the issue was released, the writer sat down for a reflective interview Marvel.com, reflects on his time with the team and thinks of all he was able to do with characters like Ben Grimm, Johnny Storm and Doctor Doom. Slott was also asked if there was anything he had plans for that wasn’t made into the series, something he would eventually get to, and confirmed a story he had for Sue Storm that might have put her in harm’s way.

“It’s frustrating, because I was getting ready to put a big spotlight on Sue, and do some of Sue’s errands,” Sloot replied when asked if there was “anything big” he had planned that he didn’t have the ability to do. “Until I realized I obviously had my favourites, and my favorite things were Thing and Alicia. It’s impossible to look at the run and not see that I really liked Thing and Alicia. But I also really like Doom, I also like Reed, and I was having all this fun.” With Johnny and Sky. While we were wrapping up, I was ready to move on to Sue’s stuff, and all of a sudden I was in JMS at that interview—no!”

Slott continued, “I was going to get Sue trained by hand! She would have learned to increase the size of her force fields so that they could block sound. She was able to block Klaw’s powers before, so the possibility is there. Not only will she be invisible, you won’t be able to hear her and you’ll get Over all that hand ninja training. Oh, I was going to do some cool stuff with it. It’s good to leave things on the table.”

For those reading other Marvel comics at the moment, Sue’s collaboration with The Hand at the moment might not be the best idea. Currently, the evil ninja clan is led by none other than Frank Castle, having exchanged his guns for swords. The group is also in the crosshairs of Daredevil and Elektra, at least more than before, which means that if Sue Storm is suddenly in the mix here, there’s sure to be some collateral damage somehow. At least explain why she didn’t see The Punisher walking around. You can find the full cover and petition for Slott’s latest release below.
