Daniel Kaluuya reveals why he has remained calm in the absence of Wakanda forever

Marvel Studios is looking to continue its dominance of 2022 in the fall with the upcoming sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The actor recently revealed that he won’t be back for the sequel, and now he’s explaining why he’s been keeping quiet for so long. During a new interview with The Hollywood ReporterKaluuya says it’s because he doesn’t want to disappoint people.

“If I say anything, people are going to be really disappointed. That’s how I feel about it. I think people are going to be disappointed. They don’t want to be spoiled. They are surprised by what’s going to happen. That’s what was amazing in the first one,” he told me. But Kaluuya recently revealed that he is unable to reprise his role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, saying that his portrayal interferes with Nope’s production.

Previously, Jacqueline Cooley of Rotten Tomatoes revealed that Kaluuya will not reprise his role as W’Kabi for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. This is due to a scheduling conflict with Jordan Peele’s Nope as both films were in production around the same time.
