Sony removes unnamed Spider-Man spinoff from 2023 calendar, leaving flash history

Sony’s Spider-Man Universe moves at a unique speed, giving an eclectic cast of characters within their cinematic world a multitude of live action movies. As new projects within the franchise have been given the go-ahead, the film’s release strategy has undergone some changes – and it looks like the most recent one has arrived. According to a new report from ERCboxoffice, the previously scheduled “Untitled Sony/Marvel Universe” movie has been removed from June 23, 2023. If the movie premieres on that date, it will premiere alongside Warner Bros. ‘ Long-term adaptation of the capital Sparkle Movie.

Given the near future of Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, this update is somewhat odd, as there was no movie confirmed for a June 2023 release date. When the date was originally announced in the fall of 2021, some speculated that it would be a collaboration between Sony and Marvel’s spider man 4However, this does not appear to be the case due to the lack of updates on this movie. In addition, the studio already has a movie related to Spider-Man, Madame Webis already set to debut just two weeks later on July 7, 2023. So, it looks like Sony has decided to drop the release date entirely, instead opening another movie (Marvel related or otherwise) against Sparkle.

In addition to Madame Web, Sony has already confirmed the January 13, 2023 release date for Craven the fishermanstarring Aaron Taylor Johnson, and release date January 12, 2024 for mirtoBad Bunny Championship. The only other project confirmed to be in the studio recently is a third project poison The film will be co-written by franchise star Tom Hardy.
