Discovery Star says there are no ‘end-game’ plans for the series yet

It seems that there are currently no plans for Star Trek: Discovery‘s conclusion at this time. Discovery It is currently filming its fifth season. In the past, major series were expected to aim for a perfect seven-season sprint to participate (as was the case with Star Trek: The Next GenerationAnd the Star Trek: Deep Space NineAnd the Star Trek: Voyager). However, the modern television landscape, with its divided audience and competing streaming services, is giving way to shorter runs, meaning five seasons would be respectable even for a big-budget sci-fi show like Discovery. However, Sonica star Martin Green, who plays Captain Michael Burnham of the USS DiscoveryHe says these conversations haven’t happened yet.

“Well, the show is definitely moving forward, fortunately,” said Martin Green Radio Times. “There have been no endgame conversations yet. We talk a lot about things we still want to see, or at least share with me the ideas they have. I talk about things I’d like to see, not just with Burnham but with others and with the story as a whole. There is a reflection. My future, sure, and there’s a foresight being applied, sure. But thankfully, we haven’t had end-game talks yet.”

While DiscoveryThe end may not be in sight, Martin Green has been willing to speculate about her future. Star Trek recently welcomed again alumni of the franchise Patrick Stewart and Kate Mulgrew to reprise their roles as captains Picard and Mulgrew, respectively, to tell new stories. Martin Green says she’ll be happy to do the same when it’s her turn to revive in a few decades.

“Oh my God, yeah, sure,” she says. “And our sweetheart Kate Mulgrew is back now too, now giving her genius to our world of animation. And I appreciate that. I appreciate the opportunities that both Sir Patrick and Kate had to come back to because they are as loved today as ever. Maybe more, maybe more lovable. They are legendary, So taking them back and bringing them back in a new way is very exciting for us, and then for everyone who loves the show. I love Michael Burnham. It would be really cool if I could come back in 30 years. God willing, we are all fine 30 years from now. And we’re still watching TV.”

Star Trek: DiscoveryThe first four seasons are streaming now Paramount +. Star Trek: Discovery Season five is now filming in Toronto.
