Westworld Showrunner teases what will happen after the flagship Sason 4 Twist

Westworld Season 4 hit viewers with a massive twist in Episode 4, “Generation Loss.” We have learned that the seemingly odd serialized story of Westworld Season 3 is already back in Season 1 format, telling us that two stories are split between two different timelines — two completely different timelines, given the game-changing events that took place. (Follow the major spoilers!) Great development in Westworld Season 4 is that Hale (Tessa Thompson) actually succeeds in “infecting” humanity with the “parasites” of her machine, creating an audience that is completely controllable. Poor Caleb Nichols (Aaron Paul) discovers that he and Maeve (Thandiwe Newton) died on the night of the final battle with Hale, and he’s back online as host more than two decades later.

Now this Westworld Uncovering two timeline twists, Season 4’s most “tame” storyline – like Christina (Evan Rachel Wood)’s existential problems, or Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) and Stubbs (Luke Hemsworth) looking for a “weapon” to defeat Hale – suddenly have a significance Much larger!

Westworld I spoke to model Lisa Joy wrap About what we know now Westworld Season 4 – and what we can expect for the remainder of the season:

“Oh my God, I’m always so bad at these questions. I mean, now that we know that Hale has won and that humans have in fact succumbed to the new AI power structure, I think we have to see how we fight for free will — this time that Humans versus robots – you play. It’s so much fun. You see all of our actors doing what they do best, kicking ass and exploring their lives and the reality around them.”

Westworld Known for turning the script on viewers – this fourth season is one of the biggest yet. Westworld It began with the mind-boggling episodes of the hosts that gained the feeling and desire of free will from the endless repetition of the horrors they endured as games for Westworld guests. The first seasons of the series followed characters like Dolores and Maeve all struggling to get out of a Westworld episode, constantly having to deal with heartbreak discovering that apparent freedom was just another level of “the game.” Now the human characters (or at least characters like Maeve and Caleb who only have “humanity” in the spiritual sense) will have to manage the maze done by Hale and co. It is set up for them, while we all have to wonder who is still “human” in the traditional sense, or what new “free” reality this new generation of hosts can build.

“Yeah, I mean, nothing beats empathy quite like literalism when you literally put in the other person’s shoes,” Joy says. “And that’s what happened here. You know, the garden went from a place where humans went to enjoy and the hosts were captivated and unaware of their situation, and now we’ve just turned New York City into a park and humans are now suffering from what the hosts were suffering from.”

Westworld Season 4 airs on HBO and streams on HBO Max.
