PS5 and PS4 players have hours left to claim promotional gifts that usually cost $30

PS5 players have less than 24 hours to claim promotional gifts which usually cost them $30. Unfortunately, if you’re using a PS4, there’s a similar offer, but it’s inferior. Why this is, we don’t know, but it could have something to do with the size of the PS4’s dock. It could also just be a promotion for the PS5 which is still fairly new. Whatever it is, on PS4 it boils down to saving $15 instead of $30.

The freebie is specifically the fruit of a deal between Sony and Apple. For nearly six months, PS5 users have been able to redeem a six-month Apple TV+ subscription for free. Six months of subscription service will usually set you back $30 as it costs $5 per month. However, tomorrow – aka July 22 – this deal is set to expire. The same goes for the PS4, but PS4 users only receive three months of the in-home subscription service, which amounts to $15 in savings.

If you are already subscribed or in a trial period, you can redeem/stack this offer. However, if your subscription is the result of a package like the Apple One, the offer will not extend to you. Here comes the second catch for PS4 users. Unlike PS5, where the offer extends to pre-existing members as well as new members, the offer is available on PS4 only to new members.

As noted, you may have already taken advantage of this offer as it has been available for months now. Tomorrow it’s going to expire, again, if it’s July 22nd or later and you’re reading this, you’ve missed it.
