Simon Pegg reveals why he doesn’t want to be in a Marvel movie

Marvel Studios films have been a topic of debate for as long as they have been released. There are a lot of opinions about the studio and some notable people like Martin Scorsese have opposed their films. The legendary director revealed that he thinks those movies aren’t cinema. Now, Simon Pegg has revealed that he does not want to start in the Marvel Cinematic Universe because they are not “adults” and the contracts are too broad.

“I kind of want to do some kind of adult stuff in the future. I guess so Mission: Impossible It’s a very big privilege. I think it’s a franchise, not aimed at big kids as much as just big people, but I want to do more drama,” Pegg . said NEWSWEEK. “I’m in no rush to join the MCU or anything like that. I kind of feel like I kind of want to be more free. You join these things, and then you’re tied up in them for years, and it can be a bit limiting.”

The latest MCU movie to hit theaters was Thor: Love and Thunder. The film will reintroduce us to Jane Foster, who has become The Mighty Thor since her last appearance in Thor: The Dark World. Jane Foster will go through “terrible hardship” in the film, but it is currently unknown if this hardship will be the same as the cancer story from the comics. Chris Hemsworth began giving interviews for the film and sparked some big revelations for Portman’s return. While speaking with Yahoo Entertainment, the actor revealed that the movie will answer some unanswered questions about Thor and Jane Foster’s relationship.

“I mean, I started this journey with her [Portman]Hemsworth revealed, he played opposite her in the first movie and to unite now and have Jane in a completely different place as well as Thor has to be in a different place. A chance to answer some of the unanswered questions that we left with the second movie when they parted ways. We didn’t really know what actually happened. Did you leave him? Did you abandon her? Who left who? Etc. So we had a lot of fun answering these questions.”

“It definitely comes in and hits a bit. And it’s really interesting for Thor to try to make sense of that idea or grab it because he’s in the ‘Who am I?’ space? “Seeing someone else dressed like him is a bit confusing.” Hemsworth continued.

Lord, Sean Gunn as Craiglin, Dave Bautista as Drax Destroyer, Karen Gillan as Nebula and Christian Bale as Gore the Lord’s Butcher. In addition to directing, Waititi will reprise his role as Korg.
