The video shows an open sink in the pool

The viral video was shared on Twitter by Israel Media Corporation Kan News.

The horrifying clip sees partygoers sitting by the pool, while a man is seen dragging himself away from the sinkhole after he suddenly starts sucking up all the inflatables.

Within seconds, the water level begins to recede and the water is completely sucked out of the pond, leaving a huge hole behind.

The accident was said to have taken place in a private house in Karmi Youssef, where the company was hosting a party for its employees.

The 34-year-old who managed to escape, sustained injuries to his limbs but is currently in a stable condition, Fox reports.

The partygoers were terrified

Those who witnessed the stream described a nerve-wracking experience for Times of Israel.

The party consisted of approximately 50 members, six of whom were in the pool at the time.

One witness said, “The water level suddenly began to recede and a hole opened, causing a vortex to engulf the two people inside.”

When another witness was alarmed by what she saw and asked her colleagues to get out of the pool, they thought it was some kind of game.

“Seconds later,” she said, “the ground just fell…I watched two people just disappear.”

The research team was very careful

The victim was reportedly found dead four hours after the search began. Rescuers attached Go-Pro cameras to their helmets as they delved deeper into the ground.

The fire and rescue services also feared a secondary collapse of the tunnels branching from the stream.

Therefore, they built a “support structure” to prevent further collapse of the pool while the search was in progress.

At the time of writing, no other details regarding the victim have been disclosed.
