Rick and Morty Spin-Off announces surprise premiere

Rick and Morty It’s already been announced that a new anime series that follows the Smith family is in the works, but it appears that not only is there a new spin-off focused on the pseudo-Avengers of their being, the Vindicators, but the series in question is only a few hours away from hitting the internet. Although the Vindicators have been largely wiped out as a result of Rick Sanchez’s wild plans in the episode, “Vindicators 3: The Return of Worldender,” it seems difficult to maintain a good hero for long.

Vindicators are fairly close to the iconic Marvel first team, in that they are a group of colorful heroes with a variety of powers. This galactic hero group roster includes the likes of Supernova, Million Ants, Crocobot, Alan Reels, and Vance Maximus. On a night of drunken debauchery, Rick set a series of traps for the Vindicators, believing that they were simply too high for their “high horse”. Furthermore, Rick harbors a serious affinity for team member, Noob-Noob, with Sanchez’s affection for the tiny alien that he mistakes for Morty as feelings for him.

Twitter user Jeremy Wein dropped the news live from San Diego Comic-Con as the Vindicators-focused panel revealed that 10 new episodes are arriving tomorrow, with Adult Swim’s Youtube channel currently in the process of counting down to the release of this new one. Rick and Morty spin off:

Adult Swim previously confirmed that the sixth season of Rick and Morty It’ll arrive sometime this year, though Cartoon Network’s programming block has mostly been pretty muted when it comes to any potential release dates. Given how Season 5 ended up diving into “Evil Morty” in a reality that seemed not to be controlled by Rick Sanchez in any way, we imagine there are plenty of familiar territory for new episodes to tread.

What other characters did you play during the first five seasons of Rick and Morty Do you think you deserve their spin-off? Do you think Vindicators 2 will share any new secrets about the now-defunct hero team?
